“Lesnaya skazka” (“A Forest Wonderland”) – is a skiing and active rest resort situated in Zailiyski Alatau mountains, located about 50 km from Almaty city, the largest city of Kazakhstan. The task was to deploy a Public Address system covering the complete territory. The biggest challenge was that there was no opportunity to mount acoustic cables near buildings because this could only be done by digging which would cause big discomfort to the visitors. In order to provide a completed solution, the acoustic signal is being converted to a digital signal and transferred through an already existing local area network (LAN) covering the center of the resort. The digital signal is spread out over several points of the territory where decoders convert it back to analogue and bring the signal to a 100V amplifiers. After that, the amplified signal arrives at the speakers, which are mounted on trees across the resort. The signal’s source is a CMP30, the multi-zone solution is based on an MTX88 and amplifying is done by CAP/CPA amplifiers. WX outdoor speakers play amongst firs, pine-trees and mountainsides.
